Verdict to leaders of People's Kurultai to be announced on April 17

Verdict to the leaders of «People’s Kurultai of Purification and Renewal» and the movement «El kunu» Kuvanychbek Kadyrov, Bektur Asanov, Dastan Sarygulov and Ernest Karybekov will be delivered on April 17. Their relatives informed 24.kg news agency.

It is specified that Kuvanychbek Kadyrov should make a speech.

The trial of another group of the accused, including members of the People’s Parliament Bekbolot Talgarbekov, Tolubay Kolubaev, Marat Sultanov, Alexander Gusev and Toygonbek Kalmatov, continues.

The state prosecution asked 12 years of imprisonment for Dastan Sarygulov, 15- for Bektur Asanov, 16- for Kuvanychbek Kadyrov, for Ernest Karybekov — 22 years in prison with confiscation of property.

They were arrested in 2016 on charges of trying to forcibly seize power and espionage.

The basis for the initiation of a criminal case was the audio recording that appeared on the Internet. It recorded how the detainees divided state posts in case of seizure of power.
