President of Kyrgyzstan informed about ensuring national security

Almazbek Atambayev received Secretary of the Security Council of the country Temir Dzhumakadyrov, the Information Policy Department of the President’s Office reported.

At the meeting, the head of state was informed about the state of national security and measures taken to further strengthen it.

Temir Dzhumakadyrov reported to the president on the results of his participation in the 12^th meeting of the secretaries of the SCO security councils, including bilateral talks with the heads of delegations of the countries that are key partners of Kyrgyzstan in the sphere of regional security. According to him, the importance of further strengthening cooperation in countering terrorism and religious extremism in a multilateral and bilateral format was emphasized.

President Almazbek Atambayev noted the need to intensify the whole package of measures to ensure national security and the importance of strengthening interaction with key foreign partners to effectively meet the tasks on countering new challenges and threats, the presidential administration informs.
