Kant air base hosts requiem for victims of St. Petersburg terrorist attack

Kant air base in  the day before hosted a requiem for victims of the terrorist attack in metro of . RIA Novosti reported with reference to the press service of the air base.

«The air base servicemen laid flowers at the commemorative stele with the emblem of the northern capital of . Assistant Commander for work with religious servicemen, priest Evgeniy served a funeral litany for the dead," the source said.

The press service explained that since the establishment of the air base in 2003, the government and representatives of the business community of  have taken patronage over the Russian military facility in .

On April 3, an explosion occurred between the stations Sennaya Ploshchad and Technological Institute-2 of  metro. According to the latest information, 14 people were killed, 50 injured remain in hospitals.

As noted, the Investigative Committee of Russia named the native of Kyrgyzstan Akbarzhon Dzhalilov a performer of the terrorist attack.
