Government to submit report for 2016 to Parliament till April 10

The Kyrgyz Parliament will receive a government report on the work done for 2016 till April 10. Information Support Department of the Cabinet of Ministers reported.

It is noted that the day before the Prime Minister Sooronbay Jeenbekov held a working meeting. Its participants discussed the draft report on the work of the government for 2016.

Touching upon the main indicators, Sooronbay Jeenbekov noted GDP growth of 3.8 percent, strengthening of the national currency and growth of industry. He said that the report of the Cabinet was prepared in a new format.

The structure of the report has been completely changed. The emphasis is put not on the work of the government, but on concrete results of the implementation of programs and plans.

«The work of the government is assessed through the index of public confidence and indexes of international ratings. The key distinguishing feature of the new report is the assessment of the integral quantitative indicator of the work of the government," Sooronbay Jeenbekov stressed.

According to Article 85 of the Constitution of Kyrgyzstan, the government submits a report to the Parliament annually. The Prime Minister speaks in Parliament not later than on May 15.
