Russian Customs doesn’t accept certificates of conformity from EEU countries

The system of the Federal Customs Service of Russia has stopped to accept certificates of conformity of products issued in other states of the Eurasian Economic Union, Russian media reported.

It is noted that the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) asks the Federal Customs Service (FCS) of  to resolve the situation with the certificates of conformity of the EEU. Also, the FCS asks to update information on certificates of conformity of products issued in , , and . The request was received from the Minister for Technical Regulation of the EEC Valeria Koreshkova.

Technical errors prevent Russian customs authorities from processing data of certificates. Delays have already begun because of the problems with the software.

Importers from the EEU countries have difficulties with electronic declaration of goods in .

The FCS system stopped to accept certificates issued in other EEU states, due to technical difficulties in registering declarations. The system simply doesn’t recognize the document numbers.

The EEC learned about this after the appeal of the government bodies of . It was noted that the FCS should correct the work of its system as soon as possible. This issue can be raised at a meeting of the EEC Committee on Technical Regulation.
