Almazbek Atambayev expressed his condolences to Russian President Vladimir Putin in connection with human casualties as a result of an explosion in the metro of St. Petersburg city, the Information Policy Department of the President’s Office reported.
«With a feeling of deep sorrow, I heard the news of human casualties as a result of the explosions in the subway of St. Petersburg. The Kyrgyz Republic condemns this inhuman act aimed at peaceful and innocent citizens. On behalf of the people of the Kyrgyz Republic and on my own behalf, I express my sincere condolences to the families and friends of the deceased, and wish the speedy recovery to all the victims," the telegram of condolences of the head of state said.
According to preliminary data, 11 people died in the explosion in the St. Petersburg metro. 51 injured were reported.
