Chubak azhy Zhalilov withdraws his candidacy from elections for post of Mufti

Chubak azhy Zhalilov withdrew his candidacy from the elections for the post of Mufti of Kyrgyzstan. He wrote this on Facebook.

According to him, it was his personal decision. As he told in his address to the Muslim community, when he was at a scientific dawaat in Russia, some members of the Ulema Council suggested him to be a Mufti candidate.

In my homeland, where strong and rich people rule, who can impose their will on anyone, without arguing with the «lucky ones," not bargaining with the «happy," not to become someone who oblige to the rich, forced to speak only that someone likes, I withdrew my candidacy for the post of Mufti, although I didn’t put forward it by myself.

He noted that serving the Iman, justice, the people and the state is not limited to holding a position, and the one who studied to be a mullah doesn’t have to work as a mufti. In his address to supporters, Chubak azhy Zhalilov wished that the Most High was pleased with them.

«As the Kyrgyz saying goes, the grass withers, but the earth will remain, we will all stand before God with our conscience and good deeds, and for the freedom of our state, for its bright future, for conscience and justice, to live with honor, let all that the Almighty bestows on you," he writes in his address.

Recall, elections of the mufti of Kyrgyzstan will be held on April 3, 2017 and the general Muslim kurultai should approve the elected candidate on April 4.
