Cabinet approves development of food and processing industry program

The Cabinet approved the program for the development of the food and processing industry in Kyrgyzstan for 2017–2021. The relevant government decree was signed by the Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Jeenbekov.

It is noted that the decision was taken in pursuance of the National Strategy for Sustainable Development of the country for 2013–2017, as well as for the stable development of the food and processing industry, the fuller use of existing production capacities and the involvement of labor resources in production.

The program is designed to create the necessary conditions for modernization of the industry, solution of financial, economic and social problems. The Ministry of Agriculture, Food Industry and Land Reclamation of Kyrgyzstan was entrusted with implementation of the program.
