An active member of religious extremist organization Hizb ut-Tahrir was detained in Bishkek. Press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the reported.

According to it, the detained 25-year-old native of Naryn region has been wanted since December 2016. During the search, prohibited extremist literature was confiscated from him, which, as material evidence, was transferred to the investigative authorities. The necessary forensic theological examination was appointed.

The detainee was placed in pre-trial detention center No. Bishkek. The investigation is ongoing.
