48 supporters of Sadyr Japarov get from 2 to 5 days of arrest

48 supporters of Sadyr Japarov, who protested in Bishkek, got from two to five days of arrest in the reception center. Law enforcement agencies reported.

The nephew of ex-deputy of the Parliament Sadyr Japarov, 19-year-old Renat Japarov, is among the detainees. According to the decision of Pervomaiskiy District Court of Bishkek, he will spend five days in the reception center.

Other 23 people were fined for amounts of 500 to 5,000 soms. 19-year-old Bishkek resident Gulnura Altynbekova will pay the largest fine.

Ex-ombudsman of Kyrgyzstan Tursunbek Akun, in addition to six hours of community service, was fined at 1,500 soms. However, he denies that he must sweep the streets.

Sadyr Zhaparov recently resided in Cyprus. Upon his arrival, he was detained right on the border with Kazakhstan and taken to the State National Security Committee for interrogation in the criminal case on taking Emilbek Kaptagaev hostage in 2013. A rally of his supporters was held at the building of the State Committee with the demand to release the former deputy. Special forces dispersed participants of the rally. A total of 105 protesters were detained for violation of public order.
