Today, the head of Kyrgyzstan Almazbek Atambayev visited a park in Bishkek at the intersection of Akhunbayev and Shabdan Batyr streets and planted a maple in honor of the anniversary of the March revolution of 2005.
The park was laid out on June 10, 2016. At least 7 million soms were allocated from the presidential fund for its creation, and the Bishkek Mayor’s Office spent 1.3 million soms additionally from the local budget.
The trees were also planted by the mayor of the capital Albek Ibraimov and officials of the Presidential Administration. The wife of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Raisa Atambayeva also took part in the event.
