Presidents of Kyrgyzstan, Russia hold telephone conversation

Almazbek Atambayev held a telephone conversation with the head of Russia Vladimir Putin on the 25^th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Kyrgyzstan and Russia. Information Policy Department of the Presidential Administration of Kyrgyzstan reported.

The heads of state noted that the consistent development of Kyrgyz-Russian relations, based on historically established friendly ties, mutually beneficial cooperation and strategic partnership, meets the fundamental interests of the peoples of the two countries.

The parties stressed that over the past quarter-century the sides jointly established effective mechanisms for interaction in the political, trade-economic, cultural-humanitarian spheres, and in the field of security. The parties actively cooperate in the framework of regional and international organizations.

The importance of further strengthening of the political dialogue and implementation of all concrete agreements was noted.

In addition, the sides discussed plans for bilateral cooperation in the near future and issues of developing cooperation within the framework of the membership of the two countries in the EEU, CSTO and CIS.
