Russian court to hear traffic accident involving Russia’s Embassy official

The case on the traffic accident involving an employee of Russia’s Embassy in Kyrgyzstan will be heard by a Russian court. The Russian diplomatic mission in Bishkek reported.

According to it, competent authorities of the Russian Federation conduct a thorough investigation of the circumstances of the accident involving car of an employee of the Embassy. The issue of paying compensation to the family of the deceased Evgeniy Leksin is being decided.

The Embassy states that after the completion of the investigative measures the case will be transferred to the courts of the Russian Federation in order to establish the guilt of the second participant in the accident and chose the punishment for him.

The accident occurred on February 16 in Bishkek. The embassy car crashed into Mercedes Sprinter, rushing through a red traffic light. Evgeniy Leksin was killed.

A criminal case was opened on the fact of the traffic accident, but the first secretary of the Russian Embassy, ​​Victor Pukhov, party in fault, left Kyrgyzstan a month ago.
