Today is the 15th anniversary of the events that took place in Bospiek district. At , the Kyrgyz President Almazbek Atambayev laid flowers at the Monument to the memory of the people who died for the people’s freedom during the Aksy events.
«And today we bow our heads to the heroes who gave the most precious for freedom and justice the man has — own life, and demonstrated to all of us how fearlessly one must fight for holy ideals," the President said at the ceremony. — The example of the Aksy residents awakened our national identity, honor and pride, a sense of dignity. We must always remember those exploits, honor the memory of the heroes. We shall educate the younger generation of Kyrgyz people taking this example of courage and devotion to the Motherland into account.»
Without the Aksy events, there would be neither March 2005 nor April 2010. These three events have become the most difficult and important passes on the difficult path of democratic development of Kyrgyzstan, the way of building a new society and a new state.
