Almazbek Atambayev: We build free democratic country

«We build a free democratic country," Kyrgyzstan's President Almazbek Atambayev said today during the presentation of credentials of ambassadors of several countries.

«I heartily congratulate you on the beginning of your mission. I am sure that your activity will allow us to intensify relations with Kyrgyzstan," the head of state said.

"Kyrgyzstan marked the 25^th anniversary of independence. For a quarter of a century, our people went through a difficult path, we experienced two revolutions. But now we are building a free democratic country. Our people achieved peace and stability, sustainable development," Almazbek Atambayev said.

The country is going through a historical stage of national and cultural revival.

«Despite the impact of the global economic and financial crisis, Kyrgyzstan's GDP has been showing steady growth over the past few years. The republic has achieved energy independence, we have many infrastructure projects. A balanced foreign policy is aimed at protecting the internal interests of the republic," Almazbek Atambayev added.
