Alexander Lukashenko appoints Belarus Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko appointed the country’s ambassador to , Belta news agency reported.

It is noted that Andrey Strachko became the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to the . «Belta» notes that the main efforts the country focuses on the development of cooperation projects. So, last June the production of Belarusian tractors was opened in . Work on the creation of a similar enterprise for assembling of harvesters continues.

There are plans to open a joint venture for the production of mining equipment. As for the trade turnover, in January 2017 Belarus almost tripled its exports to Kyrgyzstan.

«This is a fairly high figure. We have something to increase," Andrey Strachko said in a conversation with journalists.

It should be noted that after the revolution in 2010, ex-president Kurmanbek Bakiyev lives in Belarus and even builds a luxurious house there. At the same time, after Alexander Lukashenko received fugitive president,  withdrew the ambassador in that country. Diplomatic relations started improving only a couple of years ago.
