Kyrgyzgidromet obtains access to data of world computing centers

The Agency for Hydrometeorology obtained access to forecast products (forecast of air temperature, precipitation, pressure, cloudiness, wind) of two world computing centers: the Japan Meteorological Agency and the for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF). Press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kyrgyzstan reported.

According to it, using this information, Kyrgyzgidromet began to prepare weather forecasts for general use with an increase in the lead time from 3 to 5 days and advisory forecasts from 5 to 7 days.

Also, the lead time of forecasts for the cities of Bishkek and was also increased up to 3 days, the report said.
