Private schools in  were exempted from taxes. Amendments to the Tax Code were approved today in the third reading of the Parliament.

The law will be sent to the President for signature.

According to the initiators, the document is designed to cover the shortage of schools in the country, as well as to provide state support to private entrepreneurs.

«The bill doesn’t provide for significant tax cuts to the republican budget, since there are few private schools. Their profits are not initially high. Earlier, a similar draft law has been introduced, establishing tax exemptions for private kindergartens," the explanatory note says.

There are 2,218 schools in Kyrgyzstan, 187 of which are private, where the cost of education reaches $ 5,000 per year.
