Moscow and Minsk not to allow ousted presidents to influence elections in KR

Vladimir Putin and Alexander Lukashenko won’t allow Askar Akayev and Kurmanbek Bakiyev to influence the presidential elections in Kyrgyzstan, Felix Kulov said today at a round table.

According to him, deposed in March 2005 and in April 2010 presidents might want to somehow determine the outcome of the 2017 race due to their existing finances, but in this case they could be simply expelled from Russia and Belarus, where they received a shelter.

«It was the main condition of their presence in the countries where they have fled — they don’t interfere with the policy of Kyrgyzstan," the leader of Ar-Namys party said.

The people of Kyrgyzstan became more intelligent. It won’t be fooled and bribed.

Journalist Kabay Karabekov said that candidates for the presidency in the upcoming elections will have to fork out.

According to preliminary calculations, the election campaign can cost about $ 20 million.

He believes that now only rich members of SDPK or other coalition factions can get to the system of government.

«Young professionals don’t have such chances," Kabay Karabekov said.

Presidential elections in Kyrgyzstan are scheduled, according to the incumbent president Almazbek Atambayev, for November 19.
