The first surgery to implant BAHA (bone anchored hearing aid) was performed in Kyrgyzstan. Press service of the Kyrgyz State Medical Academy reported.
It is noted that the operation to install bone anchored hearing aid was performed by Dr. Suresh Naruka from Apollo Clinic (India). It took place at the Medical Center of the Kyrgyz State Medical Academy. Foreign surgeon also performed a number of sanitation operations on the ear.
«Dr. Suresh Naruka is a surgeon, an innovator in the field of otolaryngology. His methods of treatment of diseases of the ear, nose, throat as well as head and neck are carefully studied in medical schools and have been successfully used in practice. This is his second trip to Kyrgyzstan. The specialist from India arrived in order to share experiences and practical skills with young surgeons of our country," press service of the Kyrgyz State Medical Academy reported.
