Track athletes from Kyrgyzstan win 14 medals in Kazakhstan

Track and field athletes from Kyrgyzstan won 14 medals at competitions in Kazakhstan. Track and Field Federation of Kyrgyzstan reported.

According to it, Ust-Kamenogorsk hosted two indoor championships — among juniors (1998–1999) and the seniors (2000–2001). Kyrgyzstanis won three gold, four silver and seven bronze medals.

Tatyana Rybakova took the first place twice (in the women’s 60 and 200 meters race) and Kirill Sarasov — once (400 meters race). Aligadzhi Magomedgadzhiev (60 meters), Ivan Fisenko (shot put), Musulman Dzholomanov (1,500 meters) and Omurbek uulu Dastan (2,000 meters steeplechase) became the second.

The third place was taken by Angelina Tyapova (60 meters hurdling), Kirill Sarasov, Nurganym Sarybaeva (both in 200 meters), Nikita Peretyatko, Yury Stepashov (both at a distance of 400 meters), Mikhail Soloshenko and Omurbek uulu Dastan (both at a distance of 800 meters).
