Eight members of Hizb ut-Tahrir detained in Kyrgyzstan

On February eight active members of religious extremist organization Hizb ut-Tahrir, who have organized the meeting after Friday prayers, were detained one of the cafes of Kara-Suu district in the south of , the press service of Ministry of Internal Affairs reported.

According to it, the detention took place in the framework of a criminal investigation initiated in September 2016. Then, an Imam of a mosque in  city was detained. Extremist materials were confiscated at his place of residence.

Search of the homes of the three detainees found books and videos of extremist terrorist nature. At the same time, one of the detainees previously have already been brought to criminal responsibility.

Operative-investigative measures are being held.
