Second candidate announces intention to run for presidency in Kyrgyzstan

The leader of Onuguu-Progress party Bakyt Torobaev officially announced his readiness to run for presidency in Kyrgyzstan.

«This decision was not spontaneous. We have carried out close consultations, lined up different configurations. Our time has come- the time of new politicians," he said.

Bakyt Torobaev is 43 years old. Since 2007, he has three times been elected a deputy of the Parliament.

The former prime minister of Kyrgyzstan Temir Sariyev was the first who announced his intention to run for presidency.

Powers of the incumbent head of Kyrgyzstan Almazbek Atambayev expire in the autumn of 2017.
