Kyrgyzstan compares engineering survey methods with international practices
The Department of Engineering Surveys is conducting a comparative analysis of engineering and geological survey methods used in Kyrgyzstan and abroad, the Ministry of Construction reports.
As part of the study, drilling was carried out using two different methods at the site of a 14-story residential building under construction on Shevchenko Street in Bishkek.
One company conducted engineering surveys in accordance with the regulatory and technical standards currently in force in Kyrgyzstan, while the second used technology developed by a Chinese corporation based on standards adopted in China. Similar approaches are also used in Europe and the United States.
Drilling was carried out to a depth of 29 meters. Specialists are comparing the two approaches in terms of drilling speed, technology and sample quality, equipment used, and the results obtained.
Comparative tests under real-world conditions will allow specialists to assess the effectiveness of different methods and determine the prospects for their further use in Kyrgyzstan.
