First Ladies of Kyrgyzstan, China explore cultural heritage of both countries

First Lady of Kyrgyzstan Aigul Japarova and First Lady of China Peng Liyuan visited the Kyrgyz State History Museum, where they learned about the cultural heritage of the Kyrgyz people.

The cultural program for the distinguished guests opened with a children’s choir performing welcoming songs in Kyrgyz and Chinese.

As part of the program, the First Ladies visited an exhibition dedicated to the traditions and cultural identity of the Kyrgyz and Chinese peoples. The exhibition also featured collections by Kyrgyz and Chinese designers.

A special highlight of the program was the show «Elechek — the Precious Heritage of Kyrgyz Women,» dedicated to the traditional Kyrgyz women’s headdress.

The event was held as part of Chinese President Xi Jinping’s state visit to the Kyrgyz Republic.
