Child who fell off escalator at Bishkek's shopping mall emerges from coma

A child who fell off an escalator at the Vefa shopping center in Bishkek has emerged from a coma. The Bishkek City Children’s Clinical Emergency Hospital told 24.kg news agency.

The child has been transferred from intensive care to a regular ward. According to doctors, his condition is showing positive progress.

The incident occurred on the evening of August 11. A boy born in 2021 fell off an escalator at the Vefa shopping center. He was hospitalized with a severe traumatic brain injury and placed on a ventilator.
