Total investment amounted to 23,565 billion soms. The area of completed private homes increased by 4.9 percent compared with the first seven months of 2025, data from the National Statistical Committee say.

Capital’s record and growth leaders

Bishkek remains the leader in individual housing construction. Residents commissioned 1,334 homes in the capital with a total area of 226,800 square meters. The amount of residential space commissioned increased by 40.4 percent year-on-year. A total of 9,248.8 billion soms was invested in the sector in the city.

Strong growth was also recorded in Batken region, where the area of commissioned housing increased by 29.1 percent to 43,600 square meters, with investments totaling 1,118.8 billion soms.

In Naryn region, the indicator increased by 8.4 percent.

Regional distribution and decline zones

In Jalal-Abad region, 1,146 houses with a total area of 133,900 square meters were built, attracting 5,038.4 billion soms in investment. However, the area of housing commissioned in the region decreased by 3.6 percent.

In Chui region, 891 houses were built with 2,345.7 billion soms invested, while the volume of commissioned housing fell by 7.1 percent.

Osh region recorded a 3.3 percent decline, with investment totaling 3,225.9 billion soms.

The sharpest declines in construction activity were recorded in Talas region, down 22.6 percent; Issyk-Kul region — 19.7 percent; and the city of Osh — 17.5 percent.

Factors behind growth and decline

Private capital continues to be concentrated in Bishkek and Jalal-Abad region. Together, the two locations accounted for 14,287.2 billion soms, or 60.6 percent of all funds invested in individual housing nationwide.

The notable growth in Batken region is attributed to government programs aimed at restoration and developing border areas.

The decline in Talas and Issyk-Kul regions may indicate reduced household financial resources and rising costs of individual housing construction.
