Over the past five years, 21 healthcare facilities have been commissioned in Kyrgyzstan, with 42 more at various stages of construction. The Health Minister Damirbek Osmonov reported.
Specifically, construction of modern perinatal centers in Osh and Talas continues, as well as the renovation of hospitals and clinics throughout the country.
The minister noted that the consolidated healthcare budget has nearly doubled to 51.9 billion soms, which has strengthened the sector’s material and technical infrastructure.
He also noted that high-tech medicine, including organ transplantation, is developing in the country, while maternal and infant mortality rates are declining. Digital healthcare systems are being implemented, and medical equipment and ambulance transport are being upgraded.
