Kyrgyzstan’s schoolchildren win 13 medals at Mathematics Olympiad in Uzbekistan

Schoolchildren from Kyrgyzstan won 13 medals at the Al-Khwarizmi International Olympiad in Mathematics and Informatics, held at the Renaissance Health Center in Tashkent region of Uzbekistan.

According to the Ministry of Education, 219 schoolchildren from 16 countries (Malaysia, Mongolia, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Belarus, Bangladesh, Cuba, Venezuela, Jordan, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Romania, and Iran) participated in the Olympiad.

Twelve students competed in mathematics and 12 in informatics for Kyrgyzstan. In computer science, eight of Kyrgyz students won two gold, three silver, and three bronze medals.

In mathematics, five students won one silver and four bronze medals.
