Earthquake registered on border between Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan

An earthquake measuring magnitude 3.5 was registered on the border between Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan. The Institute of Seismology of the National Academy of Sciences reported.

According to the Institute, the tremors were recorded on June 8 at 10:55 p.m.

The earthquake’s epicenter was located in the area of Kyungey Ala-Too ridge, 35 kilometers northwest of the village of Kozhoyar and 49 kilometers northwest of the village of Ananyevo.

The tremors measured approximately magnitude 3 in the villages of Ak-Bulun, Ak-Bulak, Balbay, Shaty, Ichke-Suu, Kurmenty, Korumdu, and Taldy-Suu.
