CEC of Kyrgyzstan demonstrates remote voting equipment to PACE rapporteur

Tynchtyk Shainazarov, Chairman of the Central Commission for Elections and Referendums of Kyrgyzstan (CEC), met with Marietta Karamanli, Member of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) and Rapporteur on the Kyrgyz Republic.

According to the CEC press service, they discussed the results of the parliamentary elections held in Kyrgyzstan at the end of 2025, as well as issues related to the development of the electoral system, ensuring transparency and openness of electoral processes, gender representation, and increasing voter turnout.

«Marietta Karamanli noted the positive assessments of the technical support for the elections, reflected in the reports of international observer missions, and expressed interest in the further development of election technologies in the country,» the CEC reported.

Tynchtyk Shainazarov demonstrated the remote voting equipment and spoke in detail about its technical features and potential applications.

The meeting was also attended by Eugen Schoenfeld, Secretary of the PACE Committee on Political Affairs and Democracy; Ruslan Bekbolotov, Counselor at the Kyrgyz Embassy in France; Leila Lurova, Deputy Chair of the Central Election Commission; and members of the commission’s staff.
