Kyrgyz Greco-Roman wrestler Zholaman Sharshenbekov has won the Open Ulaanbaatar international ranking tournament, currently underway in Ulaanbaatar.
In the final bout in the 63-kilogram weight class, his opponent, Iranian athlete Mohammad Keshtkar, was unable to compete due to injury. The judges awarded the victory to the Kyrgyz athlete.
The Open Ulaanbaatar international ranking tournament in Greco-Roman and freestyle wrestling is taking place in Ulaanbaatar from June 3 to 8. The Kyrgyz national team includes eight athletes: Akyl Sulaimanov, Zholaman Sharshenbekov, Amantur Ismailov, Zhantoro Myrzaliev, Amanat Samat uulu, Bekzat Orunkul uulu, Imur Temirbekov and Azat Salidinov.
