President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov meets with Belarusian Prime Minister

Today, June 5, in Bishkek, President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov met with Belarusian Prime Minister Alexander Turchin, who arrived in the country on an official visit.

The head of state noted that Alexander Turchin’s visit is an important confirmation of the progressive development of Kyrgyzstan — Belarus cooperation and a shared commitment to further strengthening friendly relations between the two countries.

During the meeting, the parties discussed developing cooperation in trade and economic, industrial, energy, agricultural, mining, and tourism sectors.

President Sadyr Japarov emphasized Kyrgyzstan’s interest in expanding cooperation with Belarus, including implementing joint venture projects, localizing production, and leveraging modern technologies.

Prime Minister Alexander Turchin conveyed greetings and good wishes from Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko and congratulated him on Kyrgyzstan’s election to the UN Security Council. «This is undoubtedly a success for Kyrgyz diplomacy and a testament to the high level of trust on the part of the international community,» Turchin emphasized.

The parties noted the need to ensure the practical implementation of the agreements reached and the timely implementation of the Roadmap for the Development of Trade and Economic Cooperation until 2030.

They also reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening bilateral cooperation in all areas of mutual interest.

In conclusion, the head of state conveyed warm wishes to his counterpart, Alexander Lukashenko, noting that he looks forward to the Belarusian President’s participation in the SCO summit and the opening ceremony of the 6th World Nomad Games.

Sadyr Japarov also expressed confidence that the results of Alexander Turchin’s visit will contribute to the further strengthening of friendship and partnership between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Belarus.
