Interior Minister of Kyrgyzstan meets with Secretary General of Interpol

The Minister of Internal Affairs of Kyrgyzstan, Ulan Niyazbekov, met with the Secretary General of Interpol, Valdecy Urquiza. The talks took place in Bishkek on the sidelines of the Meeting of Ministers of Internal Affairs and Public Security of the SCO Member States.

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, the parties discussed international cooperation in law enforcement, the exchange of operational information, and collaboration in the international search for criminals.

Ulan Niyazbekov noted that cooperation with Interpol remains a priority area of ​​the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kyrgyzstan’s international activities and plays an important role in combating transnational crime.

Valdecy Urquiza, in turn, expressed his readiness to further develop the partnership and emphasized the importance of strengthening international ties in the field of security. He also noted the role of Interpol’s national central bureaus in coordinating the fight against international crime.

Following the meeting, the parties confirmed their interest in expanding cooperation aimed at increasing the effectiveness of the fight against crime and strengthening public safety.
