Over 20,000 industrial jobs created in Kyrgyzstan in two years

As part of a large-scale state program, 119 industrial enterprises were commissioned in Kyrgyzstan in 2025, up from the planned 100. The Ministry of Economy and Commerce announced this while presenting the work results to journalists.

According to the ministry, the successful launch of these enterprises attracted $715.7 million in investment and created 8,500 new jobs across all regions of Kyrgyzstan.

Chui region led in capital attraction and job creation, with 35 enterprises opening with a total investment of $311.2 million.

In Osh region, 14 enterprises were opened with a total investment of $201 million, while in Jalal-Abad region, 16 plants were launched, attracting $81.9 million. Thirteen enterprises each were opened in Batken and Naryn regions, with investments of $31.1 million and $10 million, respectively.

Additionally, 12 enterprises for $23.9 million have begun operations in Issyk-Kul region, six enterprises each in Talas region and Bishkek, and four new production facilities in Osh.

Among the largest projects, the Ministry of Economy highlights the pharmaceutical plant Standard Pharm Group LLC in Kara-Balta, with an investment of 3.6 billion soms, and the aerated concrete block manufacturing plant Mega Gazoblok KG LLC in Leilek district.

According to ministry representatives, active industrial launches will continue in 2026. This spring, the ceremonial opening of Sokuluk-3 and Tuyuk small hydroelectric power plants took place in Chui region with the participation of President Sadyr Japarov, and Brand KG LLC plant was officially opened in Bishkek Free Economic Zone.

In total, 113 major projects are planned for implementation in 2026, according to the plan.

The total expected investment will be approximately $2,038 billion, creating nearly 12,000 new jobs.

Issyk-Kul region will be the main investment leader this year, with $1.35 billion planned for major projects, including the energy company RECA LLC. Chui region will retain its lead in terms of job creation, with 35 enterprises there, including the large textile mill Aldos Tekstil LLC in Tokmok, employing nearly 6,000 people.
