1,200 people participate in One Run half marathon in Bishkek

On May 23, 2026, the International One Run half marathon was held at Gazprom to Children sports complex in Bishkek, the city municipality reported.

The event was organized with the support of the State Agency for Physical Culture and Sports under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Department of Physical Culture, Sports, Tourism and Youth Affairs of the Bishkek City Hall, the Kyrgyz Athletics Federation, and the International Marathon Directorate.

Despite weather conditions, the half marathon was held in an organized and positive atmosphere. Participants demonstrated strong sporting spirit, activity, and determination to achieve their goals.

More than 1,200 people took part in the race, including residents and visitors of the capital, professional athletes, and amateur runners. Distances of 5 km, 10 km, and 21.1 km were offered. A children’s race of 1 km was also held.

The event was open to all participants aged from 12 to 90, without age restrictions. It also attracted supporters of a healthy lifestyle, for whom the race became an opportunity to test their abilities and spend time in a sporting environment.

Each participant received a commemorative medal at the finish line. Winners who took first, second, and third places in their respective categories were awarded cash prizes.

Such sporting events contribute to promoting a healthy lifestyle, developing mass sports, and encouraging physical activity among the population.
