Saudi Arabia donates about 50 tons of dates to Kyrgyzstan

A ceremony was held at the Ministry of Labor, Social Security, and Migration of Kyrgyzstan to hand over 48 tons (720 kilograms) of dates as humanitarian aid from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to vulnerable groups.

The event was attended by senior officials from the Ministry of Labor, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the Kyrgyz Republic Iyad bin Ghazi Hakim, and representatives of the King Salman Rescue and Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center.

The humanitarian aid will be distributed to nursing homes and orphanages, including the Spiritual Directorate of Muslims of the Kyrgyz Republic, as well as through district social welfare departments to vulnerable individuals and families.

The project is being implemented by the King Salman Rescue and Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center and is part of Saudi Arabia’s systemic humanitarian support to Kyrgyzstan.

This initiative reaffirms the friendly nature of Kyrgyzstan — Saudi Arabia relations and the parties’ commitment to developing humanitarian cooperation.
