Emergencies Ministry warns of mudflows, rising river levels throughout country

The Ministry of Emergency Situations has issued a weather alert for Kyrgyzstan from May 19 to 23.

According to forecasters, unstable weather and localized heavy rains are expected in the foothills and mountainous regions of the country.

This may lead to mudflows and rising river water levels.

Residents and visitors are urged to follow safety precautions, exercise caution in mountainous regions, and avoid staying near riverbeds and areas prone to mudflows.
