The new school year 2026 in Kyrgyzstan will begin on September 15. Minister of Education Dogdurkul Kendirbaeva announced at a press conference.
According to her, the school year will still end on May 25.
The postponement of the start date is linked to the upcoming Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit in Bishkek and the World Nomad Games.
The SCO summit is scheduled for August 31—September 1, 2026, while the World Nomad Games will take place from August 31 to September 6.
