Driver hits police inspector in Bishkek, breaking his leg

In Bishkek, a driver of a Daewoo Nexia hit a patrol police officer while attempting to evade a stop. The press service of the Department of the Patrol Police Service reported.

The incident occurred on April 19 at around 5.30 a.m. Officers tried to stop the vehicle, but the driver ignored lawful orders and, while trying to flee, hit the inspector.

As a result of the incident, the officer’s leg was broken and he received first medical assistance.

The suspect has been detained. The circumstances of the incident are under investigation.
