President Sadyr Japarov signed a law ratifying an agreement with the International Development Association and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development to finance a healthcare project.
The project is part of One Health program — the first phase of an initiative aimed at pandemic prevention, strengthening food system resilience, and protecting ecosystems in Central Asia.
The agreement and grant deal were signed on July 11, 2025, in Bishkek.
Under the law, the Ministry of Finance has been instructed to notify international financial institutions of the completion of all internal procedures required for the agreements to enter into force.
The project is being implemented with support from the Pandemic Prevention Trust Fund administered by the World Bank.
The law will enter into force in 10 days after its official publication.
