Kyrgyzaltyn OJSC has been granted subsoil use rights for Taldy-Bulak deposit in Talas region. The corresponding order was signed by Cabinet Chairman Adylbek Kasymaliev.
According to the document, the company is authorized to develop the Taldy-Bulak gold and copper deposit covering 178.6 hectares and to conduct geological exploration on the Taldy-Bulak area spanning 3,315.4 hectares.
Before commencing operations, Kyrgyzaltyn is required to ensure compliance with the law on the protection and use of historical and cultural heritage.
Taldy-Bulak deposit contains gold, copper, and molybdenum. Experts estimate its resources at approximately 120 tons of gold and around 800,000 tons of copper.
Earlier, the commission on subsoil use licensing suspended four licenses held by Talas Copper Gold LLC.
