Osh— Kara-Suu road to be widened to four lanes

The 18.7-kilometer Osh— Kara-Suu road will be completely reconstructed and widened to four lanes, the press service of the Ministry of Transport and Communications of Kyrgyzstan reported.

Deputy Minister Ulukbek Zhanibekov inspected the progress of the work during a working visit to Osh region. According to the project, the roadway width on this section will be from 12 to 15 meters.

Alymbek Datka Street in Gulcho town in Alay district (4.5 kilometers), where construction has already begun, will also be expanded to four lanes.

Furthermore, road repairs in Kara-Suu town leading to Kara-Suu and Yntymak checkpoints on the border with Uzbekistan are planned to be completed promptly. The Deputy Minister instructed the relevant agencies to ensure the quality of the work and expedite the pace of construction.
