A supply and distribution channel for psychotropic substances has been dismantled in Bishkek. The Interior Ministry’s Drug Control Service reported.
According to it, on March 3 law enforcement officers carried out a search of a rented apartment where two suspects, 34 and 26, were residing.
During the operation, officers discovered and confiscated psychotropic substances in especially large quantities. The seized substances have been added to the case file as evidence.
A criminal case has been opened under Article 282 of the Criminal Code of Kyrgyzstan (Illegal production and distribution of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances).
Forensic chemical examinations have been ordered, and active search measures are ongoing to identify other individuals involved in the criminal scheme.
The Interior Ministry reminded that illegal trafficking of psychotropic substances is classified as a serious crime and carries penalties from 5 to 15 years in prison.
