Kyrgyzstan and Turkey discuss development of industrial cooperation

Kyrgyzstan’s Trade Representative in Turkey, Chingiz Esengul uulu, met with Orhan Aydin, Chairman of the Board of OSTİM, the Organized Industrial Zone of the Middle East Center for Industry and Trade. The press service of the Ministry of Economy reported.

According to the press service, during the meeting, the parties discussed the development of Kyrgyzstan -Turkey trade and economic relations, expanding industrial cooperation, and prospects for joint investment projects.

Particular attention was paid to cooperation in the agro-industrial sector and agricultural processing. The possibilities of establishing modern processing facilities with high added value in the Kyrgyz Republic, including apricot, nut, and apple processing, were discussed.

The feasibility of using a cluster approach in Kyrgyzstan, uniting raw material producers, processors, logistics, and export-oriented companies, was highlighted, as was the attraction of industrial partners from Turkey, including firms within the OSTİM structure.

OSTİM (OSTİM Organize Sanayi Bölgesi) is one of Turkey’s largest organized industrial zones, located in Ankara. It unites over 6,000 enterprises in the mechanical engineering, metalworking, energy, and industrial manufacturing sectors, with a well-developed system of cooperation and integration.

Following the meeting, the parties expressed their readiness to practically develop joint projects and agreed to intensify cooperation in priority areas.
