Magnitude 3.5 earthquake hits Naryn region

A magnitude 3.5 earthquake hit Naryn region of Kyrgyzstan, the Institute of Seismology of the National Academy of Sciences reported.

According to the Institute, the tremors were recorded at 1:20 p.m. on March 31.

The earthquake’s epicenter was located in Kyrgyzstan, 17 kilometers east of the village of Kara-Keche, 19 kilometers northwest of the village of Sary-Iymek, 45 kilometers southeast of the district center of Chaek, and 92 kilometers northwest of Naryn.

The tremors measured magnitude 2.5 in the villages of Sary-Iymek and Kara-Keche.
