«SCO member states express serious concern over developments in the Middle East and the military strikes on Iranian territory.
SCO member states consider the use of force unacceptable and advocate for the resolution of existing disputes exclusively through peaceful means, based on dialogue, mutual respect, and consideration of the legitimate interests of all parties in accordance with international law and the principles of the UN Charter,» the statement reads.
The statement emphasized the need to ensure Iran’s sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity. The SCO calls for restraint by all parties and the renunciation of actions that could aggravate the situation.
The SCO urges the United Nations and the UN Security Council to take immediate measures to counter the undermining of international peace and security. The SCO member states also expressed condolences to the families of those killed in the attack and declared their support for the government and people of Iran.
