A 3.5-magnitude earthquake hit southern Kyrgyzstan, the Seismology Institute of the National Academy of Sciences reported.
According to the Institute, the tremors were recorded on March 2 at 6.44 p.m.
The earthquake’s epicenter was located in Kyrgyzstan 3 kilometers southwest of the village of Kok-Bel, 17 kilometers southwest of the village of Ketmen-Tobo, 20 kilometers northeast of the town of Kara-Kul, and 22 kilometers south of the district center of Toktogul.
The earthquake’s intensity reached approximately magnitude 3.5 in the village of Kok-Bel, and 3 in Kara-Kul and Ketmen-Tobo.
