At a meeting of the Committee on Science, Education, Innovative Development, Information Technology, Culture, Sports, and Youth Affairs of Parliament of Kyrgyzstan, Deputy Minister of Education Nadira Zhusupbekova named the regions with the highest levels of school violence.
According to her, until recently, no large-scale study had been conducted in the country on the level of violence and crime in schools. «In 2025, such a large-scale survey was conducted for the first time. It was found that the highest incidence of school violence was recorded in densely populated regions—Bishkek, Osh, and Chui, Osh, and Batken regions. A map of the prevalence of violence in educational institutions was prepared. Among the most common forms of violence in schools, psychological and physical abuse, as well as cyberbullying, predominate,» Nadira Zhusupbekova noted.
The Deputy Minister noted that experts currently continue to analyze the survey results and will develop appropriate recommendations.
