The head of the Spiritual Directorate of Muslims of Kyrgyzstan, Abdulaziz kary Zakirov, addressed pilgrims staying in Saudi Arabia regarding the escalating tensions in the Middle East.
«The situation in the Middle East is currently tense, and flights organized for the holy pilgrimage have been cancelled. This has led to force majeure.
Therefore, our compatriots currently performing the minor pilgrimage to Mecca and Medina, we ask for your understanding and patience in the current situation, to follow the instructions of Umrah companies and leaders, and to wait patiently, without panic, until the situation resolves and flights resume. During this time, we expect your prayers for world peace, the unity of the Ummah, and the development of our country,» the Mufti said in his address.
The Spiritual Directorate of Muslims of Kyrgyzstan (SDMK) asks citizens of Kyrgyzstan planning to perform the pilgrimage to monitor the situation and plan the minor pilgrimage only after the situation in the Middle East has stabilized.
Abdulaziz kary Zakirov added that the authorities are taking all measures to return Kyrgyzstanis to the country.
